Hosting

GitHub, Inc. hosts this site through GitHub Pages. Your browser sends technical connection data to GitHub to load the pages, including your IP address. GitHub logs IP addresses for security, as explained in its GitHub Pages documentation. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR and, where applicable, EU GDPR: the legitimate interest in delivering and protecting this portfolio.

GitHub may also process browser, device and request data. It processes data internationally, including in the USA, and states that it uses the Data Privacy Framework, including its UK Extension, and contractual safeguards where applicable. GitHub determines retention according to purpose and legal obligations; it does not publish a fixed Pages log retention period. Cookies and external services

This site sets no cookies, uses no local storage, and has no analytics, advertising, tracking or embedded social media. Fonts, images, styles and scripts are served with the site. External links only open another service when you follow them; that service then handles your data under its own privacy notice.

Contact

If you contact me, I use your contact details, message and associated metadata to respond. This is based on my legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR and, where applicable, EU GDPR). Providing this information is voluntary; without sufficient contact details I may be unable to reply.

The email addresses above use LATCH LABS LTD’s email service, with email delivered through Google’s mail servers. The company, Google and the other email providers involved may process your message to deliver and handle it. Correspondence is normally kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, unless a legal obligation or claim requires longer retention. The Latch privacy notice provides further information about the company’s handling of correspondence. Google may process email data outside the UK, including in the USA; its data transfer information describes the Data Privacy Framework (including its UK Extension) and contractual safeguards. If you contact me through LinkedIn, LinkedIn also processes the message under its privacy notice.

Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise your rights, email privacy@latchlabs.app. I handle rights requests to comply with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) UK GDPR and, where applicable, EU GDPR). This site does not use automated decision-making or profiling.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Where EU GDPR applies, you may also complain to a supervisory authority in your country of residence, work or the alleged infringement; the European Data Protection Board lists those authorities.
